19C Tole Painted Candle Box

 

 

Measures 12 3/4" x 6 1/2" x 9" to top of handle.....

It has it's original hinges and painted surface and closure...

It has an oval shape and a flat back so it can be hung.....

I believe this is a candle storage container or it could have been used for specimens for a botanist.....
